Zugspitze
brings with it a wave of excitement as we embark on an adventure to conquer Germany's highest peak, towering majestically at 2,962 meters along the border with Austria.
We're optimistic that the weather will be in our favour, enhancing the breathtaking views that await us.
Our journey begins with a charming ascent on a cogwheel train, gradually climbing through lush landscapes and alpine scenery.
Once we reach the initial summit, we’ll transfer to a state-of-the-art cable car that glides us effortlessly to a plateau, where we can soak in the panoramic views for at least an hour or possibly even longer. The vast expanse of nature around us promises to be nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Mountains
After revelling in the splendour of the mountains, we’ll take the innovative cable car back down, which is engineered with only one supporting pole an impressive feat of modern technology.
Upon our descent, we will enjoy a stroll along the picturesque promenade by Lake Eib, taking in the serene beauty of the water and surrounding mountains.
As our adventure continues, we’ll catch the cogwheel train back to Garmisch, with a potential visit to the historic Olympic Ski Stadium, where we can reflect on the thrilling legacy of winter sports.
A peaceful walk through the enchanting Partnachklamm, with its dramatic gorges and cascading waterfalls, will surely be the perfect way to end the day.
After such an exhilarating experience, we will undoubtedly have worked up quite an appetite. To satisfy our hunger, we have a reservation at one of the most renowned restaurants in the area.
The Garmischer Hof, where we can indulge in a delightful meal and reminisce about the day's adventures.
